The importance of mobility
Mobility is very important for people in terms of freedom, self-sufficiency and independence. People want to be able to get around to run an errand or pay a visit, for example. Yet, mobility is not self-evident for everyone, and can be hindered and restricted by various causes. That’s why FizioSupplies offers numerous tools to remedy these limitations and increase mobility.
Walking aids
There are several options for extra support while walking: a stool, walking stick, walking frame or walker. The Able2 stools are easily adjustable in height and the armrests can also be adjusted to the desired height.
Walking sticks are available in many different shapes, sizes and colours as well as with different specifications and extras. Able2 and Hugo also offer foldable walking sticks, allowing you to easily store the walking stick when it’s not needed. Walking frames or walkers provide more support than a walking stick and offer just that little bit more security. In addition to increasing mobility and daily exercise, a walking frame can also be used for rehabilitation. As with the walking sticks, there are also foldable walkers, ensuring easy storage.
A rollator makes it a lot easier to move around for people with mobility problems. Although the rollator is intended for walking, it also contains a seat. The user can sit on it, take a break and rest for a while.
Wheelchairs and accessories
Able2 offers a choice of various accessories for wheelchairs. These include a phone or bottle holder, a fleece seat or calf support, or a bag that can be attached to the armrest or placed just below the chair.
